Cignite started with a simple frustration — every lighter we picked up felt like it was designed to be thrown away. We decided to build something worth keeping.

The lighter is the most overlooked everyday carry item. It's used dozens of times a day, carried in pockets across the world, and yet almost every option available is either disposable junk or an import that costs more than most people's monthly salary.

We started Cignite in Karachi with one question: why can't Pakistan have a premium lighter brand built specifically for Pakistani men? Not imported. Not generic. Something that understands the market, the climate, the culture.

A lighter that stops working when you need it isn't a lighter. It's a disappointment waiting to happen.

Plasma arc technology changed everything for us. No gas. No flame. No wind problems. A lighter that works every single time, regardless of conditions. We built Cignite around that technology and then obsessed over every other detail — the weight of the body, the feel of the metal, the precision of the arc.

The result is a lighter you don't throw away. You carry it. You show it to people. You keep it for years. That's what we built Cignite to be — and that's what we'll keep building.
